WESTON CREEK COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION (WCCA)

COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM 2026-2027

We have approved a total of $30,449.25 (GST inclusive) in this year’s Grants Program to 7 community groups for a variety of projects.  They are:

• Fetherston Gardens Friends $2,500 for the replanting of trees, shrubs and new equipment.
• Karilee Calisthenics $4,820.25 for the purchases of training equipment, costume sets and 3 folding room dividers.
• Horizon Church $4,000 to assist with the 2026 Christmas at Duffy Event and the new Youth Connection Program costs.
• National Capital Bootscooters $2,434 to run the Canberra Spring Line Dance Ball and Workshop in October 2026.
• Stromlo Christian Church $3,200 to help purchasing media equipment for their youth program.
• Badimara Scout Group $12,500 to fund the upgrade of Badimara Scout Hall’s Kitchen in Waramanga.
• No Lights No Lycra $995 to purchase a new portable PA system.

The Committee has decided to increase the Grants amount from $22,000 to $30,000 to accommodate many worthwhile requested applications this year.

We are proud to have been able to support those organisations in their projects to promote community cohesion and development.
