Mission

To offer a diverse range of community activities and services in a comfortable and safe environment as well as to provide an affordable facility to a wide range of community users.

History

The WCCA was formed and became incorporated in 1972 when the Weston Creek area was first developed.  The Committee saw the need for a multi-purpose community facility in the area and for many years lobbied the Government to build one.  The Centre was subsequently built and opened in April 1978 (the same time as Cooleman Court Shopping Centre) and has been managed by the WCCA ever since, through renewable, 5 year sub-leases with the relevant Government Agency, currently the ACT Property Group, Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate.
