Fetherston Garden Friends

Fetherston Garden Friends (FGF) are a local volunteer community organisation formed in 2010 to restore and regenerate Fetherston Gardens. This dedicated group of volunteers maintain the 3.5 hectare public garden located along Heysen Street in Weston.

Fetherston Gardens are over 50 years old and include an Arboretum; Woodland, Herb, Native, Secret and Gallipoli gardens and open green spaces, arbors, ponds and a maze of paths. These peaceful Gardens are used for picnics, relaxing, exploring, exercise and walking.

The volunteers work in the Gardens every Wednesday from 10am to noon and the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 1pm.

We are delighted to say that the Fetherston Gardens Friends are now an associated organisation with Weston Creek Community Association Inc. (WCCA).  The WCCA was formed in the early 1970s when the Weston Creek area was being developed and is an incorporated, not-for-profit community organisation.  The WCCA manages Weston Creek Community Centre and four other facilities around Canberra.

If you are interested in receiving further information regarding services of either organisation, please email fetherstongardens@gmail.com for FGF and info@westoncccentre.org.au for the WCCA.
